After rumours that the Pokémon Global Link, which gives access to the dream world, where you can get Pokémon with special abilities, was opening today - it is now open though as of yesterday. To use the Global Link, you have to do several things. Firstly, on your Pokémon Black/White cartridge, tap 'Online' on the C-Gear menu. Then, select 'Game Sync' and follow the instructions. You will also need a Pokémon Trainer Club account, which can be signed up to here.



Across North America, 'Toys 'R' Us' stores will be holding a special event egg to coincide with the latest anime series, where Ash travels the Unova region. The distribution will allow you to receive an egg using Mystery Gift. The Pokémon inside the egg will either be Ash’s Pidove, Cilan’s Pansage or Iris’ Axew. The event will begin on April 27th 2011 and will run right to the end of May giving you over a month to pick up your egg.

Ash’s Pidove knows Gust, Quick Attack and Air Cutter, has a Hardy Nature, and maxed out Attack IV’s. Cilan’s Pansage knows Bullet Seed, Bite, Solar Beam and Dig, has a Brave Nature, and also has maxed out Attack IV’s. Finally Iris’ Axew knows Scratch and Dragon Rage, has a Naive Nature, and maxed out Speed IV’s. This attacks, abilities and IV’s all reflect the Pokémon they represent in the anime judging on how they battle and what attacks they use.
